Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Marks Insurance Agency ("Marks," "we," "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our website, request a quote or insurance review, contact us, or take part in our text messaging program.
Marks Insurance Agency is an independent agency office representing Idaho Farm Bureau Insurance. When you buy a policy, the insurer also handles your information under its own privacy policy, which is separate from this one.
1. Information We Collect
- Information you give us: name, address, email, phone and mobile numbers, details about what you want insured (home, vehicles, farm, business), policy and account details, and anything you send in a request or message.
- Automatic information: basic technical data such as IP address, browser, device, referring page, and pages viewed, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
- SMS information: your mobile number, opt-in and opt-out preferences, and the messages you exchange with us.
We do not ask for Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, or payment card details through this website. Those are collected — when they are genuinely needed to write or service a policy — by phone, in person, or through Idaho Farm Bureau Insurance's own secure systems.
2. How We Use It
We use your information to:
- Prepare quotes and insurance reviews you asked for;
- Service your policies and answer your questions;
- Schedule, confirm, and remind you of renewal reviews and appointments;
- Send account-related texts you opted in to receive;
- Run, secure, and improve our website; and
- Meet legal, licensing, and recordkeeping requirements.
3. Text Messaging (SMS) Privacy
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service or messaging platforms, is permitted. All other use categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
We use your mobile number and consent records only to run our customer care program and service your account. Message frequency varies based on your service activity, typically 1–4 messages per month. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply. 4. How We Share Information
We don't sell your personal information. We share it only when needed to:
- Service your policies with Idaho Farm Bureau Insurance and its underwriting, billing, and claims operations;
- Work with service providers (such as messaging, scheduling, email, and IT vendors) who must protect it and use it only as directed;
- Comply with the law — including Idaho Department of Insurance requirements — or protect rights and safety; or
- Complete a business transfer such as a merger or sale of the agency, subject to this policy.
Mobile opt-in information and SMS consent are never shared for marketing or promotional purposes.
5. Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising
Our website uses cookies to operate the site and understand how it's used. Specifically:
- Google Analytics — measures traffic and which pages people find useful, in aggregate.
- Google Ads — measures which ads lead to a quote request, and lets us show ads to people who have already visited this site. We give Google the fact that a visit or a form submission happened; we do not upload your name, email, or phone number to Google for advertising.
You can control cookies in your browser, though some features may not work without them. You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on, and manage ad personalization at myadcenter.google.com.
6. Security and Retention
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, though no system is perfectly secure. We keep information as long as needed to serve you, keep SMS consent records, and meet the recordkeeping obligations that apply to a licensed insurance agency.
7. Your Choices

- Ask us to access, correct, or delete your information, subject to legal limits.
- Adjust cookies in your browser.

8. Children
Our services aren't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

We may update this Privacy Policy. The "Last Updated" date shows the latest version.
